Defense
Aviation-grade assurance for uncrewed and counter-UAS systems.
Fifteen years of safety-critical aviation work: predicting where vehicles will be, how sure that prediction is, and checking the software that acts on it. We offer that discipline to Army and DoD programs.
Where we can help
Three areas where the question is the same as in aviation safety: not just where a vehicle will be, but how sure you can be, and whether the software acting on that answer does what it should.
- Counter-UAS
- Track prediction with honest uncertainty bounds, and independent analysis of the logic that decides when and where to engage.
- Autonomy test and evaluation
- Test design, independent reference implementations, and evidence that someone else can rerun for safety reviews.
- Trajectory and intercept analysis
- Closest-approach timing and geometry with uncertainty, for pursuit, intercept, and keep-out problems.
Why aviation methods
Aviation doesn’t accept an algorithm because it usually works. It asks for the assumptions, the bounds, and evidence that someone else can rerun. That is the standard we bring to defense programs.
Our published conflict-resolution research shows how we work: closed-form results, uncertainty carried through every variable, and validation that can be regenerated from archived scripts and seeds (the research). The founder’s background is in airspace design and aviation safety analysis (about the founder).
The animation above is illustrative. It shows generic tracking and simple pursuit drawn for this page, not our methods, results, or any program.
